Sandy – the updates just keep coming

We are trying to figure out how my son will get to Steven's Institute of Technology in Hoboken on Monday. He usually takes the train, but the Bergen Train lines are down "until further notice."

We came across this slide show of Sandy Damage to NJ Transit Train lines.

YIKES!

Thank you! It is amazing to me dependent we have become on so many things we take for granted -like transportation or easy access to groceries.

God has been so good to us and we are so thankful. Just scratching our heads trying to figure out how to do the next thing.

Every day is a bit of an adventure.

      thanks so much for praying!

my gosh, looking at that slide show, you wonder when and if everything will ever get back to normal again for the transit lines. I've been reading your updates of Sandy; it is amazing the damage done and the impact of trying to survive with what isout there for the time being. One can only hope and pray things start getting back to a more routine for all you impacted by this storm.

I did read your comment above about how we take things for grants. I'm not saying this to build myself up in any way, but I saw this in action when I was helping feed the homeless yesterday in downtown San Diego. What we handed out with clean socks, deodorant, food that I take for granted was so gratefully received by them. It was so humbling. It makes one truly appreciate the blessings God has bestowed upon me.

So true Betty! I sit here thinking - come on - it has almost been a week, and then remember when Katrina clobbered MS & LA and how after a year it was still devastated.

Thanks for your prayers - and care.

re your son getting to school, with God all things shall be possible. if he is meant to be there, a way will be provided, but I know that you already know that.. 🙂

Hi Ben--so thankful that the classes were cancelled, that would be the reasonable solution. Now you can have more time with your boy, right? Thanks for the reminder that the clean up can take an exhaustingly long time--praying for patience for everyone, as part of God's bountiful Provision. God bless you BIG--love, sis Caddo
