Do you have the right kind of insurance? (Treasure – Part 5)

Jesus says:

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. (Matthew 6:19-21 NASB)

How do I know whether my treasure is earthly or heavenly?

Jesus actually gives a simple test. What kind of insurance do you need to cover it? [Tweet This]

Did you have to buy mothballs?

Have you given it a coat of Rustolium?

What about the Sloman’s shield? Is your marker displayed clearly?

With heavenly treasure there is no fear, no anxiety about damage or loss.

  • A flood can’t drench it.
  • A fire can’t burn it.
  • A tornado can’t whisk it away.
  • A hurricane can’t wrest it from it’s moorings.

So where is your treasure today?

Thanks for coming by.

See you tomorrow.

Ben
