Spirit and Truth (the encore)

The Cross

So, there I was innocently pondering my post on Spirit and Truth, thinking about the fact that

“the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.” (2 Chronicles 16:9 NASB)

and that Jesus quoted

AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.(Mark 12:30 NASB)

and that Jesus told the woman at the well

true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.(John 4:23 NASB)

and that Paul told the church in Rome

“by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.” (Romans 12:1 NASB)

and I thought there is way too much in my life keeping me from anything so complete and uncompromised.

I know that the Lord is slow to anger and full of mercy, that He has separated my sins so far from me, they are unfathomable.

Nevertheless, I am drawn to His wonderful cross once again, and taking stock of my shortcomings and compromise I once again ask Him for forgiveness and mercy.

Blood applied to my compromise – forgiveness requested and received, and now

I stand
My arms high and heart abandon
In awe of the one who made it all

I stand
My soul Lord to You surrendered
All I am is Yours

BenI have found the Messiah, come follow Him with me!

Bye for now

Ben

The biggest problems we American Christians - me included - have are rebellion, apathy, lethargy, and compromise. I usually discover my sin in one of these issues.

I don't know if it matters, but it interests me that Pastor Robt Morris and Pastor Joseph Prince--my big weekend church guys--have both been talking about the Samaritan woman's "chat" with Jesus, as have you. It's just cool--so now I need to write a "woman at the well" poem, I'm thinkin'... God bless you and the fam--love, sis Caddo

It always interests me when that kind of thing happens. I keep thinking i am done with the passage, take one more last look and - not yet comes the answer. i think you will like tomorrow's post.

i hope we are not all contradicting each other!

Can't wait to see what your creative genius does with this material!

Thank you, Mr. Ben, for showing us what to do, when we feel like we can't live so complete and uncompromised . . .go to Jesus and ask for forgiveness. Today at the CycleGuy's blog, he talked about how Jesus never told us that we wouldn't mess up. . .that He doesn't reform us, but transform us. That seemed to go with this .. at least in my mind. 🙂 God bless you!

I cannot even begin to express my gratitude for the cross-foolishness & a stumbling block to the world but the power of God to me. Great insight and pointing to the right direction Ben. Thanks for visiting my blog.
