It’s another red letter day here, and I have a really big thought for you today.
But He said to them, "Have you not read what David did when he became hungry, he and his companions, how he entered the house of God, and they ate the consecrated bread, which was not lawful for him to eat nor for those with him, but for the priests alone? - Matthew 12:3-4 NASB
David stormed the gates of the tabernacle and took what he needed. We have the right to "enter into the house of God" and take what is not commonly taken. The Pharisees will condemn it as greedy, or presumptuous, but God is welcoming us to use the resources he has stored up for us.
What treasures of the temple are you in need of? Is there food on the table of the Lord that you need access to? The crumbs from that table cured a woman’s demonized daughter. Do you need cleansing in that wonderful basin? Perhaps you just want to lay something on the altar and let it die.
Or perhaps your business is further in.
Perhaps you long to stand before the Father and plead for help, for grace, for mercy. [Tweet This]
Let’s storm the throne room today!
