Not a Drop of Blood Wasted

But He was wounded (pierced NASB) for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.

Isaiah 53:5 NKJV

Do you see that every single thing Jesus suffered was for a purpose?

There was not a drop of blood wasted.

Every mark on His body broke a chain.

The sword in His side broke the chains of slavery to sins of commission.

Each black and blue mark on His body released us from those inner sins of pride and presumption.

Our tortured minds and emotions were sent off into fields of peace to find their way back to our Father.

And each of those 39 cracks of the cat and nine broke the power of diseases of the body, soul and spirit of man.

As they pressed the crown of thorns into His head, He broke the power of the price of this world to reign over us.

As they plucked out His beard, He was breaking the power of shame in you.

As they spit on this holy Son of God, He unlocked a fountain of living water with in you and me.

As they stripped Him of all His clothes, He destroyed our need for a covering for our sin. No longer do we need to string together fig leaves to cover our sin, because our sin is GONE. His naked shame marked the end of shame’s tyranny.

Hallelujah, What a Savior.
