It Is Well – Worship Wednesday

This is an enduring favorite, and I love what Jeremy Riddle and his Bethel Church team does with it.

There are some verses that don't often get sung - here's one rendition with a couple extras - thanks to TimelessTruths.org

    Ben, how funny. On Friday's, I write a guest post over at the Isaiah 53:5 Project and my Friday one is a post written around a favorite song of mine. I was just putting this Friday's together, and of all things, that is the song for this Friday! Very nice!

    Perfect to see this today, just heard my dad was admitted to hospital...whatever my lot it has taught me to say..it is well it is well with my soul..will share with dad..thanks! And please whoever reads this keep him lifted up in prayer..name is Aaron...very special man. Thanks Ben!

    Hi Ben,
    Just a follow up from above comment. Myndad had a rough night in hospital, some serious digestive issues going on...(I'll spare the gory details) my dad is a man that has endured much suffering in his life..his parents had escaped the holocaust, he endured the korean war...lost his wife, my dear mother after our family accepted the lord, two triple bypass heart surgeries, part of lung removed, hip replacement, suffered a stroke, and countless other health issues. (he is 85, i have prayed the verse with long life i will satisfy thee for years..God has been faithful) However, despite adversities, trials, and tribulations, afflictions, my dads faith along with our families has never waivered..Last night was especially difficult for him, and he expressed to me today how frustrated he was, one trial after another all health related, he said to me, I am discouraged and depressed right now and a little upset with God...He needed to be honest and it was ok...I then shared this song...and he said...wow did you know he listens to that ever morning with my step mom ( I had no idea) and he said..yes he feels like job, but..Lisa he said...it is well it is well with my soul...thank you for sharing this...it gave my dad some sweet confirmation that God was in control despite how bad things look in the natural at present.

      Thanks so much for sharing this story. Your dad is a great testimony to God's faithfulness, and a demonstration of man's ability to be faithful in trials of every kind.

    🙂 Amen...and having that song appear on your blog on a day where my dad needed to hear it from me...is a testimony to God using you Ben out here in cyber world...be encouraged that you are touching lives.
