A few thoughts first:

I know there are those who characterize Bethel Church in Redding CA as a "name it and claim it" church in the worst sense of the phrase. I've heard it said that they preach a gospel where if you're not healed you don't have "enough faith."

That could not be further from the truth.

I implore you to watch at least until Bill Johnson gets up, at about 5:50. He gives a small taste of the back story for this song. When I heard the circumstances of its writing I was reminded of the famous back story for the old hymn, "It Is Well With My Soul" by Horatio G. Spafford.

Enjoy

Miracles by Chris Quilala

The One who made the blind to see
Is moving here in front of me, moving here in front of me
The One who made the deaf to hear
Is silencing my every fear, silencing my every fear

[Chorus:]
I believe in You, I believe in You
You're the God of miracles
I believe in You, I believe in You
You're the God of miracles

The One who does impossible is
Reaching out to make me whole
Reaching out to make me whole
The One who put death in its place
His life is flowing through my veins
His life is flowing through my veins

[Chorus x2:]
I believe in You, I believe in You
You're the God of miracles
I believe in You, I believe in You
You're the God of miracles

The God who was and is to come
The power of the Risen One
The God who brings the dead to life
You're the God of miracles!
You're the God of miracles!
[x2]

[Chorus:]
I believe in You, I believe in You
You're the God of miracles
I believe in You, I believe in You
You're the God of miracles

The God who was and is to come
The power of the Risen One
The God who brings the dead to life
You're the God of miracles!
You're the God of miracles!

[Chorus:]
I believe in You, I believe in You
You're the God of miracles
I believe in You, I believe in You
You're the God of miracles

Come and worship Him with me today, will you?

Blessings,

Ben

Here's a great Christmas song. Thanks to Pastor J. over at Lillie-Put for reminding me of this wonderful song.

"Light Of The World"

The world waits for a miracle
The heart longs for a little bit of hope
Oh come, Oh come Emmanuel

The child prays for peace on earth
And she's calling out from a sea of hurt
Oh come, Oh come Emmanuel

And can you hear
The angels singing

Glory to the light of the world
Glory the light of the world is here

The drought breaks
With the tears of a mother
A babies cry is the sound
Of love come down
Come down, Emmanuel

He is the song for the suffering
He is messiah
The Prince of Peace has come
He has come, Emmanuel

Glory to the light of the world
Glory to the light of the world
Glory to the light of the world
Glory to the light of the world
For all who wait
For all who hunger
For all who've prayed
For all who wander
Behold your King
Behold Messiah
Emmanuel, Emmanuel

Glory to the light of the world
Glory to the light of the world
Glory to the light of the world
Behold your King
Behold Messiah
Emmanuel, Emmanuel

The world waits for a miracle
The heart longs for a little bit of hope
O come, O come, Emmanuel

Take Courage -

by Kristene Dimarco

Slow Down take time
Breath in he said
He’ll reveal what’s to come

The thoughts in his mind
Always higher than mine
He’ll reveal all to come

Take courage my heart
Stay steadfast my soul
He’s in the waiting
He’s in the waiting

Hold onto your hope
As your triumph unfolds
He’s never failing He’s never failing

Sing praise my soul Find strength in joy
Let his words lead you on

Do not forget His great faithfulness
He’ll finish all he’s begun

(And) You who hold the stars
Will call them each by name
You’ll surely keep your promisee to me
That I will rise in your victory

Here's one from Martin Smith called the Song of Solomon. I loved this video by Greg Fromholz. The story in the video is more like the prodigal son. I think you'll love it too.

Over the mountains
Over the sea
Here you come running my lover to me

When I feel the cold of winter
In this cloak of sadness, I need you
All the evil things that shake me
All the words that brake me, I need you

Over the mountains
Over the sea
Here you come running my lover to me

Do not hide me from your presence
Pull me from this shadows, I need you
Beauty wrap your arms around me
Sing your song of kindness, I need you

Over the mountains
Over the sea
Here you come running my lover to me

All through the valleys
Through the dark of night
Here you come running
To hold me till it's light

Over the mountains
Over the sea
Here you come running my lover to me

All through the valleys
Through the dark of night
Here you come running
To hold me till it's light

I'll come running
I'll come running
come running back to you

I'll come running
come running
come running back to you

I'll come running
come running
come running back to you

Over the mountains
Over the sea
Here you come running my lover to me

All through the valleys
Through the dark of night
Here you come running
To hold me till it's light

Come running
Come running
Come running back to you

Allow yourself to enter in to worship today, with your eyes on the Great I AM!

The Great I AM - Jared Anderson

I wanna to be close close to your side
Heaven is real and death is a lie
I wanna hear voices of angels above
Singing as one

Hallelujah Holy Holy
God almighty Great I am
Who is worthy
None beside Thee
God Almighty
Great I Am

I wanna be near near to your heart
Loving the world hating the dark
I want to see dry bones living again
Singing as one

Chorus
Hallelujah
Holy Holy
God almighty Great I am
Who is worthy
None beside Thee
God Almighty
Great I Am

He's the Great I Am Great I Am

The mountains shake before Him
The demons run and flee
At the mention of the name

I fell in love with a song - new to me - at the Supernatural Life Conference last weekend. Here's a video of Tim Hughes covering this new favorite from Phil Wickham.

At Your Name

At Your Name, the mountains shake and crumble

At Your Name, the oceans roar and tumble

At Your Name, angels will bow the earth will rejoice

Your people cry out

Lord of all the earth

we shout Your Name, shout Your Name

Filling up the skies

With endless praise, endless praise

Yahweh, Yahweh

We love to shout Your Name

Oh Lord

At Your Name, the morning breaks in glory

At Your Name, creation sings Your story

At Your Name, angles will bow the earth will rejoice

Your people cry out

There is no one like our God

We will praise You, praise You

There is no one like our God

We will sing, we will sing!

There is no one like our God

We will praise You, praise You

Jesus You are God

We will sing!

Yahweh, Yahweh

We love to shout Your Name

Oh Lord

===

Enjoy

This song was new to me this week. I'm hooked!

Have a great Wednesday. Bring Him praise as you go today.

Blessings,

Ben

There's power in singing scripture. It reinforces truth, and implants it in your soul.

Walk in truth today, and join me in this prayer:

benheadshot1Thanks for coming by today.

This song by Brian Johnson has been on my list of worship Faves since I first heard him do it at a conference in Harrisburg in 2006. It puts to music some of my favorite red letters:

Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner. - John 5:19 NASB

"For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak. - John 12:49 NASB

And now for the music:
